As many of you know, we announced our acquisition by Agero back on January 9th. It was (and remains) an exciting time for both us and Agero, but as with any acquisition, there have been questions asked that we’d like to answer directly.

Has the vision for Swoop changed post-acquisition?
For the last three years, we’ve focused tirelessly on:

● Developing amazing software that will make your life easier

● Enabling continued investment in our industry through sustainable work

● Building relationships around trust

None of that has changed. None of it will change.

Swoop exists to empower you to deliver the best imaginable service to your customers through the highest-quality software and technology. That’s not going anywhere.

Will Swoop continue to exist?
Definitely! Agero has resources and scale. This only accelerates our ability to build software to make your life easier.

Since the acquisition in January, we’ve moved into a larger office here in San Francisco and doubled the size of the Swoop team, and we’re still hiring with these open positions.

Will Swoop share our data with Agero?
Swoop will not be sharing your proprietary data with Agero. Please contact us if you have direct questions about that one. In fact, we updated our privacy policy for service providers who use our software. Your data is yours, and we have implemented policies and procedures to protect proprietary data from third parties — including our parent company.

Are motor clubs dropping Swoop?
A few have, yes. Transparency is important to our culture, so I can admit that. However, by no means is it a large amount of motor clubs — and we applaud NSD, Quest, and USAC for standing behind the service provider community by allowing you to continue receiving their jobs through Swoop’s platform. As for dropped motor clubs, we’ll continue to persuade them otherwise, because ultimately you should be free to choose the software system you believe is best for your business.

A personal note from Tim:
I joined Swoop in March of 2016 because I experienced first-hand how service providers can thrive when given the right incentives and tools. Swoop, with its service provider-first mentality, is simply a company that exists to make you better.

We remain stronger and more committed to that vision than ever before, and we will not stop fighting for what we believe is good and right for you and the industry you serve.

Whether you’re a service provider in our network or a customer using our software, we thank you for giving us the opportunity to work with you — and we will continue delivering the best possible product to you.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at tim@joinswoop.com. I love to hear from both customers and those in our industry and I’m more than happy to clear up any concerns or questions you may have.
