Swoop Software Helps Ferrari Dealership Coordinate Transport of Exotic Automobiles

One of the hallmarks of a first-rate software product is the ability for users to tailor it to fit their unique needs. In late 2017, Hayim was searching for a software solution to solve a number of problems for his dealership. “We have our own internal trucks for pickup and delivery for service work,” he explains. “We also have a valet company that picks up and delivers vehicles for us, and we also have third-party tow trucks.” What Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale needed was an app that could track all of these transportation methods in one convenient place.

Hayim searched online through every possible software option available, seeking an answer to this issue. “Before Swoop, we just used the phone,” Hayim recalls. “Remember, we have multiple vendors here. If I wanted to know the status of a vehicle, we had to first figure out which driver is it? This one’s an in-house employee. That’s a valet company. This one is a third-party tow truck. This is our tow truck. We were all discombobulated.” Once he got the opportunity to acquire some hands-on experience with Swoop, he quickly realized that he had indeed found the solution that Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale needed. With Swoop, they now have their own in-house trucks, the third-party tow trucks, and the valet company drivers all dispatched and tracked through one system.

One thing that immediately set Swoop apart from the other apps Hayim tried was how advanced the technology is. “A lot of the programs I tried, I didn’t like,” he explains. “They were basically non-modern systems that they tried to overlay an app to. That didn’t work well for me, with a lot of those transport companies. I’m real big on functionality, and they just never felt right. Finally, I ended up with Swoop, which we figured might not be a perfect fit, but it was a really good fit.”

Since implementing Swoop in February, Hayim has seen a big difference in customer satisfaction at Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale. “It’s a tremendous improvement. We were getting a lot of complaints from customers,” he says. “We had constant inbound phone calls with people saying ‘I thought my car was going to be here! Where are you?’ Having this integration with Swoop is basically automating and ensuring that the customers have gotten at least some level of communication.”

In addition to having a satisfied client base, Hayim thinks his employees are happier as well since integrating Swoop. “When employees don’t have good data, sometimes they’ll just give bad data to the customers,” he explains. Previously, there were situations where an angry customer would call in, and the employee would have “no clue where that car is” — which is obviously not an ideal situation when you’re dealing with million-dollar cars.

But with Swoop, Hayim says “our service advisors get to give them good information. They can pull up the app, switch over to that job, and see that the truck is sitting in standstill traffic. Now, the customer is at ease. He’s not yelling at the advisor, because the advisor is knowledgeable. He’s a professional. That’s the difference. You’ve empowered your employee, which makes your employee happier.

At the end of the day, operations at Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale simply run more smoothly with Swoop. “I think Swoop works very well,” Hayim says. “It really does create a good customer experience. The fact that I have everything integrated into one system is very helpful.”
