Swytch has steadily been working to increase our network’s reach and power and to increase public awareness of our grander ambitions. Eric Miller and his team of devs have mostly stayed at our home base in Austin iterating and testing the code, while Evan and Troy have ventured much further afield. Evan visited Japan recently to drum up business and talk to potential partners there, while Troy hit up Houston, home to almost every major energy player in the world.

Big news is our partnership with WattTime to empower businesses to reduce carbon emissions with real-time energy insights. Swytch is leveraging WattTime’s API platform to feed real-time and historical marginal emissions data into our Oracle. Adding a quality source like WattTime expands the capability of our Oracle and provides our customers real-time insight into their carbon offsets, empowering them to quickly make the right decisions to prioritize clean energy and invest in a cleaner future.

Swytch won a Judge’s Choice Award at the US China Investment and Innovation Summit in Houston on May 17th. This summit was hosted by InnoSTARS, a platform that connects U.S.-based technology companies with Chinese investors, corporates, and strategic partners, with the goal of providing U.S. technology companies a better understanding of the market opportunities available in China. We were competing in the Information and Communications Technology track, and Troy was our presenter.

Evan recently was invited on the S&P Global Commodities podcast hosted by Jared Anderson, where they had a detailed conversation about real world concepts for energy data and the competitive advantage Swytch has in this field. We believe you’ll find this to be very informative and worth your time to give it a listen.

Thanks for reading, and thank you for supporting Swytch!
