Recently we asked our community to submit their questions about Swytch’s progress and future plans. Swytch’s leadership team got together and dedicated a session to answering the top questions.

Let’s jump right into it.

Community Question: Data center progress in Korea. What’s the progress on this? Is Swytch confirmed as a participant?

Swytch: Through our partnerships, Swytch plans to be the data service for all Korean energy projects. These infrastructure projects can take 3–5 years to launch and construct, but we will keep you updated on progress.

Community Question: What steps have we taken with the Korean cities we signed MOUs with?

Swytch: We are currently working with these city governments to develop plans that best fit their implementation schedules. Some cities are very focused on residential solar, which is further down our roadmap. Cities that are planning larger scale projects will benefit from Swytch first.

Community Question: Any additional partnerships we can speak about, or progress we’ve made based on the partnerships we already have?

Swytch: The Puerto Rico pilot has been going well and we used it for the first live test of Swytch’s operating software and oracle. In addition to this, Swytch has been primarily targeting large renewable energy producers first, and these partnerships take time to implement. At its core Swytch is a data services solution, and there is definitely a market hungry for what we can provide.

Community Question: What’s the Swytch team currently creating on the technical side?

Swytch: Currently we’re iterating on the NFT (non-fungible token) creation and distribution triggers. Our solution for how we are doing this is proprietary, so we cannot share many explicit technical details right now. Our CTO Eric Miller has been doing an amazing job taking Swytch from just being an idea discussed between Evan and John, to developing working software that functions on a live power production network. We have blockchain software that is working as intended already, and we’re planning to unveil our live UI soon.

Media coverage of Swytch:

In addition to these updates, Swytch has received some great news coverage recently in outlets such as Forbes and Fast Company for a study we conducted on corporate sustainability. We found out that not only are employees looking to work for greener companies, they also would take a slight pay cut in order to do so. Its a competitive advantage for large enterprises to align themselves with these employees’ beliefs, and Swytch can help!

Thanks for the questions everyone, we look forward to hearing more feedback from our community.
