Hello,

That was one momentous 2016. One that may prove pivotal in the course of history. Ultimately it’s never been a good bet to bet against humanity and every generation will undoubtedly doom itself. Yet those twelve months put all of ours’ emotions and intellect to the test. From the environmental state of our planet to the one of our politics.

As you know, Sydney Stockholm help great brands grow.

On this global marketplace, an ambition for growth must mean more than the general advertising campaign, product launch or content play. We believe that brands whom actively create culture wield an outsized influence in their category and beyond.

Yet culture is a funny thing because understanding it requires active, genuine and constant participation. Immediately and through your bones you’ll pick up whether someone you meet is a walker or talker. Your customers do too. There is plenty of scientific research clearly showing the dangers and plain negatives of — as a brand — taking an opinionated stance on politics. I guess we just don’t see how the opposite is a plausible path for any modern business with an ambition.

Earn a place in the lives of your customers, with all you’ve got. Right now, none of us can afford to be unambitious.

All emotions accumulated have left us more keen than ever to better understand the course of the world, guide our clients and companies through it and develop positive businesses on top of it.

In 2017 you’ll meet a new Sydney Stockholm. A slightly altered version in this everlasting evolution. We’re still an entrepreneurial consulting firm and how we look at you and your brand has not changed; it’s the most important thing.

We’re doubling down on clients, companies, technologies and opportunities able to — and open to — vocal participation and impactful influence (on the world). There is work to be done.

As always, thank you.

Regards,

Daniel Kjellsson and Johan Bergström
