A closer look at the updates in our latest build.
We’re happy to say that things have been running smoothly since the Oya upgrade to the Sylo Network.
Buy Crypto
Our latest update brings a convenient and simple way for newbies (and crypto veterans) to purchase Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tezos in your Sylo Smart Wallet.
After paying with Visa, Mastercard or a bank transfer, your crypto is delivered straight into your wallet, usually within minutes. This process means you are always in control of your crypto — ie, it’s never held in custody on an exchange on your behalf.
Small crypto payments do not require ID verification but larger purchases will in order to meet international requirements.
The Sylo team will never see your submitted personal data, this ‘Know Your Customer’ process is handled entirely by our trusted crypto provider Moonpay.
Moonpay is an international payments infrastructure trusted by over 250 businesses in over 36 countries since 2018.
Improved wallet asset UI
We’ve dramatically improved the wallet asset/token UI with a bigger icon, bigger balance display, large quick-access buttons to send, receive and buy, a more simplified address access, and a highly visual transaction activity list.
This update’s easy crypto purchasing and our simplified wallet UI make the Sylo Smart Wallet a great option for introducing those friends and family members just getting ‘crypto curious’.
CENNZnet integration
We’ve also added support for our friends at Centrality and their major Blockchain update from Ethereum to their own scalable CENNZnet.
Your Sylo Smart Wallet supports all the crypto features you’d expect from Sylo, integrated with Centrality’s new blockchain, including downloadable Sylo Experiences using CENNZnet.
Full Sylo Smart Wallet 3.0.9 change list:
- Added the ability to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tezos via Moonpay integration.
- Added the ability for users to spend CENNZ at vending machines.
- Added the ability to use the app while on a call.
- Added support for CENNNZnet Blockchain based Sylo Experiences.
- Added timeout to calls if not answered in 60 seconds.
- Improved wallet asset/token UI.
- Improved wallet unlock experience.
- Fixed biometric unlock option unavailable on some devices.
- Fixed issue with chat file sharing from other apps.
- Fixed proximity sensor while in a call (avoid accidental button pressing with face).
BarnBridge token support
As a bonus, we also recently added support for the BOND token — the governance token of our friends over at BarnBridge.
BarnBridge are building a DeFi protocol for tokenised risk, which are low and high risk tranches (or “debt based derivatives”). Low risk for big institutional investors and a high risk, high reward tranche for calculated risk takers.
