The whirlwind of 2020 seems to just keep on spinning and September has flown by!

It’s been a steady month of progress across all departments at Sylo and morale remains high among our squad.

From business to product, design to marketing, and the front to back ends of development; Team Sylo is humming like a well-oiled machine.

RELEASES COMING SOON

Over the last month, our designers and developers have been working harder than ever to close the final gap on our deliverables. This final ‘finessing’ is what will really make the difference when these releases are unveiled in the wild, and we look forward to you being able to get your hands on them.

Though September marks the end of Q3, it is by no means the end of the year and we’re so inspired as we look down the barrel of what will be a jam-packed, announcement-heavy Q4!

‘Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.’

Roadmap items such as completion of V2 of the Sylo Network, migration of the Sylo Smart Wallet to V2 and the release of the Sylo Nodes will now occur early next quarter.

AMATIL X INVESTS IN CENTRAPAY

In other great news this month, our partner Centrapay has officially received investment from Amatil X, Coca-Cola’s corporate venturing platform.

This support solidifies Centrapay’s expansion into the digital payments and digital asset space, building further on the campaign we unveiled in June to allow consumers the option to use their Sylo Smart Wallet to pay for items across Amatil’s vending network using digital assets.

CENTRAPAY ENABLES EPAY USERS VIA THE SYLO SMART WALLET

Right on time for the upcoming festive season, earlier this week Centrapay announced an agreement with epay New Zealand that will give consumers the ability to store digital versions of epay Gift Station gift cards in their Sylo Smart Wallet.

Users can purchase gift cards and redeem them online or in-store at participating merchants by scanning a QR code on the payment terminal.

Users will be able to see all details including balance and expiry date for each gift card in their digital wallet on their mobile phone, as well as transfer gift cards digitally, all via Sylo.

PUTTING DECENTRALISATION ON THE MAP

Finally, next week we’ll be kicking off a series from our backend development team that dives deep into the tech advancements we’ve got in store for you in our game-changing ‘V2’ roll out. Keep your eyes peeled here on our Medium over the coming days for Part 1.

Until next time…
