Projekt Ilaiyaraaja Season III — 113/365 — Oru Uravu

Krishnan Vandhan was produced by Thengai Srinivasan with Sivaji Ganesan and Mohan in the lead with a huge ensemble supporting cast including Thengai Srinivasan,“Danaal” Thangavelu, MN Nambiar, Rekha and KR Vijaya. Directed by K Vijayan, the movie was a rehash of SakalakalaVallavan (which was a rehash of Periya Idathu Penn) and the movie failed miserably at the box office pushing Thengai Srinivasan into debt.

Oru Uravu is a melancholic song that you would see from Ilaiyaraaja’s stable and the speciality is the feeling that it evokes in people. The song was written by Ilaiyaraaja. But wait, have you heard this song somewhere else? Probably, after 22 years, in a song composed by a different music director.
