Projekt Ilaiyaraaja Season III — 154/365 — Enge Irundhai Isaiye

Earlier this month, when a video of Ilaiyaraaja and SP Balasubrahmanyam surfaced, most of them wondered which movie the song is from. Some of them thought it was a new independent song composed by Ilaiyaraaja. That’s the problem when we actually miss some beautiful songs because of a bad movie or bad marketing (in this case, no marketing).

The song Enge Irundhaai Isaiye is from the movie Ajantha (2012). The production of the movie started in 2006 and the movie released in 2012. The movie went without a trace because of the tacky presentation.

The song starts with a beautiful piano prelude backed by synth beats. Synth forms the basis for the song as Raaja was using a lot of them at this stage. Enjoy the various versions of the song (KJ Yesudas — Manjari, Ilaiyaraaja and SPB)
