Projekt Ilaiyaraaja Season III — 261/365 — Kadhal Thiruda

Pickpocket is another interesting movie from GM Kumar and RP Viswam. He always went with radically different themes and he always wanted Ilaiyaraaja for his music.

Kadhal Thiruda is a funny song with a pumpy prelude and brass to start. But the first interlude is a brilliant exposition of strings and moves to a peppy version of Mangalayam Thanthunanena. The second interlude is more folky but with the funny theme continuing.
