Projekt Ilaiyaraaja Season III — 358/365 — Chinnanchiru Kiliye

Kannukkul Nilavu is quite a popular album if you compare the other albums that I have posted here. Some of the songs like Oru Naal Oru Kanavu, Roja Poonthottam and Iravu Pagalai Theda are still played on TV.

But this little beautiful lullaby hasn’t been that popular. The song is used just as a filler for 1 minute in the movie but it was a full-fledged song on the album. A sweet lullaby sung by KS Chithra in Pazhani Bharathi’s lyrics will seep into your heart. The instrumentation is simple, based on soft percussion, flute and mandolin gives the necessary impact to the song.
