Serviced Frontend Providers — Scaling, developing, and expanding the SYMMIO ecosystem

Over the last year, we have celebrated significant milestones and observed immense growth in the SYMMIO ecosystem. Through all of this, we have realized that addressing the user experience on the frontend side is key to boosting adoption. We envision a future where trading through the SYMMIO engine is better than via CEXs and to do so we need to standardize the level of SYMMIO-powered frontends which will be achieved through the Serviced Frontend initiative.

Serviced frontend providers are key to scaling the SYMMIO network. Their primary responsibilities lie in enhancing the trading experience for users and continuing to develop the SYMMIO tech stack. Through a profit-share model, these providers are incentivized to onboard new frontends into the ecosystem. This drastically increases the amount of frontends that can be onboarded as well as ensuring a high standard of user experience, benefiting the entire SYMMIO ecosystem.

Sharing the load

This program is designed to share the load, empowering others to help develop and grow the SYMMIO network. Currently, the SYMMIO team is responsible for:

  • Maintaining the Frontend SDK: Keeping the software development kit up-to-date and user-friendly
  • Onboarding New Frontends: Integrating new frontend partners, expanding our reach and network
  • Pursuing Business Development: Seeking out new partners to foster further growth of our ecosystem
  • Crafting Core Contracts: Developing fundamental agreements that govern our operations
  • Security: Implementing robust security measures to protect the integrity of our system
  • Integrating Solvers: Onboarding additional solvers into our network and developing a multi-solver system
  • Solver Operations: Actively managing trading strategies to provide market liquidity and stability

Due to the broad nature of the operations and responsibilities of the SYMMIO team, the introduction of Serviced Frontend Providers will enable us to focus our resources on the core parts of our system while others take on the responsibility of active business development, integrations, and maintaining a standard of excellence.

IntentX — The Premier SYMMIO Serviced Frontend

IntentX has positioned itself as a premier frontend built on the SYMMIO tech stack. They have continually improved and innovated and led the pack of SYMMIO frontends in key areas, such as daily volumes, user acquisition, and features. Through their experience developing IntentX, they are now ready to offer a frontend service to prospective partners, providing them with a whitelabel integration solution and technical and operational support.

The serviced frontend model opens the product up to new markets. It decentralizes the layer and adds modularity. Different frontends and different partners can utilize SYMM in different ways.
- Levy, Founder of IntentX

IntentX is currently partnering with the following protocols via their serviced frontend offering:

  • Core Markets
  • Thena
  • Based Markets
  • Fenix
  • BeFi
  • Many more to come…

This offering addresses key areas in the continued growth of the entire SYMMIO ecosystem, including:

  • Significantly reducing costs and development resources for new protocols wanting to offer a frontend, allowing them to focus on marketing, user acquisition, and further business development
  • Attracting more frontends by reducing integration friction, tapping into new communities and user bases
  • Freeing up resources for SYMMIO to focus on core development and infrastructure
  • Adding frontends adds more order flow and volume to the SYMMIO system, making it a more attractive proposition for solvers
