Call to Participate! Alibaba’s Ant Financial Hosts First Hackathon in San Francisco
Established based on Alibaba’s online payment system Alipay, Ant Financial Services Group focuses on serving SMEs and individual consumers. To date a wide range of digital financial service providers have spun out of Ant Financial, including Alipay, Ant Fortune, Zhima Credit, MYbank, Yu’e Bao, Ant Credit Pay (“Huabei”), Ant Cash Now (“Jiebei”) and more, reaching over 520 million users in China and the world.
This October, Ant Financial and Synced are co-hosting the ATEC Developer Creativity Challenge for developers to showcase creativity using Alipay Mini-program. This is a great opportunity for participants to engaged with Ant Financial or even Alibaba!
Top 10 Hackathon/Ideathon finalists will be invited to the Creativity Challenge on October 11–12 2017 to pitch and showcase their demo based on Alipay Mini-program.

Competition Details
- The Creativity Challenge will be like a fresh Ideathon event.
- Finalist teams will pitch their fin-tech ideas based on Alipay Mini-program with a 5 ~ 10 minutes presentation, prototype needs not be fully functional, but must be a minimum viable product at the time of presentation.
- The Creativity Challenge is scheduled for October 11–12 2017 PST in San Francisco, California.
- Registration is open until September 22 PST.
- Qualified finalists will be announced on September 28 PST.
- Candidates with relevant skills in either software development, product design, data analysis, or marketing are welcome!
- Background knowledge of Alipay is not necessary but will be an advantage for sure!
Prizes
- Two Awards: “The Best Creative Idea Award” and “The Best Social Value Award”.
- Each Award have prizes valued over 50,000 USD, include Cash Rewards 10,000 USD.
