Plug and Play Japan Press Release: 1,251 attendees in 2 days! Plug and Play Japan EXPO Report
As previously announced, SynchroLife was chosen for Plug and Play Japan’s Batch 1 accelerator program in summer 2018 (see full news here: https://medium.com/synchrocoin/synchrolife-selected-for-startup-accelerator-plug-and-play-japans-fintech-batch-1-26c0ae7461c9).
Plug and Play Japan released a Japanese press release about the Batch 1 Expo (demo day), highlighting the winning startups and major announcements of the event. We were honored to win both the Expo award for top domestic fintech company and the audience award for best pitch at the Plug and Play Japan Batch 1 Expo event in September 2018!

1,251 attendees in 2 days! Plug and Play Japan EXPO Report
Plug and Play Japan held the Batch 1 EXPO (Demo Day) on September 5 and September 6, 2018. 44 international startups selected for Batch 1 and 14 corporate partners pitched at the event, and three new corporate partners were announced. Over the course of the 2 day event there were 1,251 attendees.
About the Batch 1 Expo
Batch 1 was held from June to September 2018, with 53 international startups chosen across four verticals (Fintech, Insurtech, IoT, and Mobility) and 14 corporate partners. 44 startups presented the results of their time in the three month program at the two day Expo (Demo Day).
21 awards were given out to startups and corporate partners. The winners are as follows.

Awarded to startups that received the most audience votes during the EXPO.

Plug and Play Japan Award
Awarded to domestic Japan startups believed to have a high chance of success overseas. The winning companies will be given a free trip to our home company Plug and Play in Silicon Valley, and the opportunity to pitch in front of VCs and other companies there.
