From our roadmap, to the release of WildSpark and the growth of its community, to the release of our Whitepaper — here’s everything you need to know about Synereo.

The Mission

One year ago, Synereo released its roadmap and mission statement. To us, the importance of creating a new business model to replace the existing, exploitative standard of publishing and distribution was clear. The end goal was — and remains — a decentralized social environment, one that would level the playing field, lower the barriers of entry, undermine monopolies, and compensate all web-players based on their contributions. To get there, our first mission was to develop a few basic Attention Economy tools, ready to be implemented on top of existing social platforms and content distribution hubs.

WildSpark

In March 2017, our first product was released, offering tools addressing real-world needs. WildSpark, currently a Chrome extension and soon to become a fully-functional web-app, allows users to send AMPs directly to the creators they like, as well as follow these “Amplifications” of other users on a constantly-refreshing news feed.

To join and participate in the WildSpark community, all you need to do is:

— Download the Chrome extension and open a WildSpark Account. Once verified with Facebook, they receive 10 free AMPs to start Sparking with.

— Curate content, i.e. find videos on YouTube or on the WildSpark website that are appreciated and reward those videos with AMPs.

— Create content. YouTube video creators could fill out this form to register as a Verified WildSpark Creator and get instructions on how to claim AMPs their videos earned.

Joining the WildSpark community gives people the power to change the Internet into a fair environment, one where content creators and curators are rewarded based on their participation and contributions, where the algorithm shaping one’s newsfeed is designed for them rather for further monetization for the advertising giants.

The Whitepaper

A key component in Synereo’s Attention Economy model, implemented in WildSpark, is the AMP attribution formula. This formula determines how AMPs used to Amplify a particular piece of content get shared between the original creator and the subsequent curators responsible for distributing it. The formula is based upon a web of dynamic networks that constantly evolve for every piece of content added to WildSpark, driven by users’ AMPing activity.

The attribution of AMPs reflects successful acts of value creation in WildSpark, rewarding creators and curators who are appreciated by the community of participants in the app. The formula is designed to support an environment where users discover and support content which they genuinely like.

The logic and mathematical formulas behind WildSpark’s reward distribution system that enable these dynamic networks to operate are explored in our new whitepaper.

The full whitepaper outlining Synereo’s vision and describing how WildSpark works, including the mathematical formulas behind AMP distribution, can be found here.

The Future

Synereo’s Liberated Attention Economy has been growing organically and steadily as the day by day. The number of participants in WildSpark is increasing; the number of Amplifications is rising; Amplification chains are getting formed and lengthened; and rewards are accumulating in numerous WildSpark accounts.

As the community grows, the Synereo team is looking forward to expanding the product’s interactive feature set as well as reinforcing WildSpark’s capabilities by including additional social media platforms and content mediums.

The future is bright and we can’t wait to share more of what’s in store.

We invite you all to share in our vision for a better and fairer Internet. Join the WildSpark community — and get involved in the conversation on our lively Discord channel.
