Consensus 2022 Recap: SynFutures x Polygon Event, CEO Rachel Lin’s Panel & More
Last week was a time of growth, connection, and comaraderie for the SynFutures team, as we attended Consenus in Texas. After attending Permissionless in West Palm Beach just weeks earlier, we were excited to mix and mingle with more 15,000 attendees live in Austin.
From our afterparty with Polygon to our CEO Rachel Lin speaking alongside other notable leaders in the DeFi space, this week was packed with excitement. Check out our recap below for the highlights!
SynFutures x Polygon Party
As our community is well aware, Polygon is a strategic partner to SynFutures. In fact, SynFutures is currently the largest decentralized derivatives protocol on Polygon.
To celebrate our partnership and the beginning of Consensus, our projects came together and hosted a night of music, drinks, food, and chill beats at the Eleanor in downtown Austin.
More than 400 attendees, including developers, investors, crypto enthusiasts, as well as SynFutures and Polygon team members, enjoyed crypto-themed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a live DJ.

Rachel Lin Talks DeFi at Consensus 2022
But the SynFutures x Polygon party wasn’t the only highlight. Our co-founder and CEO Rachel Lin was asked to speak on a panel on the intersection of DeFi and traditional finance.
On Saturday afternoon, she shared the stage with fellow panelists Ralf Kubli, Board Member at Casper Association; Bart Smith, Global Head of Digital Asset Strategy at Susquehanna; and moderator Krisztian Sandor from Coindesk.
The session was part of the four-part exploration: Institutional Investing: Building Bridges to a Web 3 World.

SynFutures at Consensus 2022
In addition to hosting our event and Rachel’s speaking session, the SynFutures team was on hand in the exhibition hall to meet with existing community members, potential partners, traders, developers, and more.
Rachel was even on hand to answer questions and chat with attendees throughout the conference.
Consensus was a great time, and we look forward to attending (and hosting) more live events in the future!
