On the latest episode of FutureX Podcast, we were honored to have Arjun Kalsy (@ArjunKalsy), the Head of Ecosystem at Mantle Network, as our guest. Arjun is a business professional with an engineer’s mindset and is driven by his passion for solving problems and working with cutting-edge technology. Currently, his objective is to support blockchain developers in creating scalable and user-friendly solutions with the aid of Polygon’s Layer-2 scaling solution.

Arjun’s Web3 Journey
Arjun’s journey into the exciting and rapidly-evolving world of cryptocurrency and decentralized technology began in 2016 when his curious mind led him to explore the new developments in this field. As he delved deeper into the subject, he became more and more fascinated with the potential implications of decentralized systems for the global economy.
His passion for this new and exciting industry was soon rewarded, as he was offered an opportunity to join the then-up-and-coming Layer 2 scaling solution Polygon, where he could put his theoretical knowledge into practical use. He quickly established himself as a valuable team member, and his expertise in blockchain technology and economics made him a go-to person for many of the project’s key initiatives. However, Arjun’s thirst for knowledge and adventure led him to seek new challenges, and in 2023 he joined Mantle as the Head of Ecosystem.
What is Mantle Network?
Arjun’s move to Mantle was strategic, positioning him at the forefront of cutting-edge technology in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. Mantle is a state-of-the-art Ethereum Layer-2 scaling solution that leverages advanced roll-up technology to offer unparalleled infrastructure and scalability.

What Will Ignite the Next Wave of Web3 Adoption?

For decentralized finance (DeFi) to reach its full potential, he recognizes that it must appeal to a broader audience beyond the crypto enthusiast community. For this reason, he is optimistic about Mantle’s focus on NFTs and gaming, as he sees these areas as key to attracting new users and sparking innovation in DeFi.
Through his interactions with DeFi projects deployed on the Mantle network, Arjun has seen tremendous potential for growth in this space. However, he also acknowledges that the crypto world can sometimes be self-absorbed, with Twitter being the only source of information and interaction for many. That’s why Arjun is such a strong advocate for promoting mass adoption. He believes that DeFi users must take an active role in educating others about the possibilities and potential of the crypto world.
By introducing engaging games and fun NFT projects, Arjun believes that people will quickly realize the value of ecosystems like Mantle, which will drive more adoption of Web3 technology and enable more people to access the benefits of decentralized finance.
