Introducing SynFutures Foundation and the F Token
This is the start of decentralizing SynFutures and transitioning governance power to the community.

In early 2020, DeFi was still a nascent technology. It had less than one billion dollars in TVL for the better half of the year. As DeFi eventually grew, piggybacking on the tech of early protocols like Curve, Uniswap, and Aave, the world realized the significance of decentralizing finance and the power it gave to the people.
The potential impact that DeFi promises is what led to the inception of SynFutures protocol (“SynFutures”). SynFutures v1 went live in 2021, aiming to lower entry barriers in global finance and create an open, permissionless derivatives market.
In the last three years, SynFutures has come a long way in building a resilient decentralized protocol, a comprehensive full-stack financial infrastructure, and a community that believes in its vision and mission.
For SynFutures to remain truly community-centric and permissionless, it’s crucial to progressively make the protocol community-governed.
That’s why decentralizing SynFutures has been on the roadmap since day one. After years of building, SynFutures has finally completed two crucial steps toward decentralization:
1. Establishing SynFutures Foundation
2. Introducing the F token
The F token accords the SynFutures community the opportunity to participate in the governance of SynFutures, and together with the Foundation, shape the ecosystem’s future.
SynFutures Foundation
Since its launch in 2021, SynFutures’ core contributors have built a solid technical and community foundation while upholding trust, transparency, and community-centricity.
Due to their unwavering efforts, SynFutures is ready today for the next growth phase — the SynFutures Foundation.
Going forward, SynFutures Foundation, alongside the SynFutures community providing governance input via community-related proposals, will be responsible for the stewardship of the development of SynFutures. This will include providing grants and resources, leading collaborations with third-party entities, such as research institutions and industry partners, and gathering feedback.
Governance is a huge responsibility, but one that the SynFutures community is well-equipped to take on and lead the protocol ahead.

A strong community has been the lifeblood of SynFutures and the reason for its massive success. The F token is a means to offer existing and future community members a voice in SynFutures’ further development.
Initial Token Utilities
F holders will enjoy a variety of utilities and benefits within the ecosystem. To start, there are three to take note of:
1. Voting power and skin in the game
F holders will be the primary drivers of the SynFutures ecosystem. Their staked tokens will directly translate into voting powers. They can use this to vote on various proposals, such as new feature integrations, risk parameter adjustments, and other strategic initiatives.
2. Boost for airdrops
Whether one receives an F airdrop or buys F from an exchange, they can stake their tokens to boost their incentives accrual rate for future airdrops.
SynFutures will soon issue more details on staking boost rules and the Season 2 campaign.
3. Fee discounts and rewards
F holders will be eligible for a fee discount and potential future rewards based on the amount and duration of their staked tokens. SynFutures will issue a separate announcement when the fee discount program goes live.
The F ecosystem will continue to evolve and bring more benefits as the Foundation is committed to expanding the use cases for the token over time.
F Tokenomics
Early builders, believers, users, and community members played a significant role in bringing SynFutures to this point. Their trust and effort deserve fair acknowledgment.
Consequently, immense time and thought went into crafting a balanced and rewarding F token distribution.
F has a total supply of 10,000,000,000 tokens.
12% of this supply or 1,200,000,000 F tokens will be unlocked at TGE.
The F token allocation is as follows:
1. Community — 28.5% | 2,850,000,000 F
The community allocation will help reward community members, users, and contributors. It will also fuel the expansion and adoption of the SynFutures ecosystem.
Allocation channels are as follows:
1.1. Airdrop — 7.5% | 750,000,000 F
SynFutures will airdrop 7.5% of the total supply to users who’ve consistently engaged with SynFutures protocol v1, v2, and v3.
All airdrop tokens will be unlocked at TGE.
Note: The airdrop checker or claim is NOT live yet. SynFutures will soon make an official announcement sharing more details on the F token airdrop. Beware of any scam links.
1.2. Ecosystem — 20.5% | 2,050,000,000 F
Ecosystem growth is crucial to the success of SynFutures. The Foundation has thus allocated 20.5% of the F supply toward expanding SynFutures. Some of the allocation channels include:
- Incentive programs to onboard new users.
- Collaboration with strong partners.
- Grants and funding for third-party developers building on the protocol.
- Community initiatives, hackathons, and other engagement programs.
The Ecosystem allocation will unlock linearly over four years from TGE.
1.3. Liquidity Campaigns — 0.5% | 50,000,000 F
This allocation will help accelerate F token listing and trading activities on multiple initial and follow-on exchange venues. It’ll also ensure wider adoption of F tokens across multiple communities.
F tokens allocated toward liquidity campaigns will be unlocked at TGE.
2. Backers & Advisors — 23.5% | 2,350,000,000 F
SynFutures has reserved a 23.5% allocation for backers and advisors who contribute funds, expertise, and other valuable support to the development of SynFutures.
This allocation has a half-year cliff, followed by a linear unlock over the next three and a half years.
3. Foundation Treasury — 25.0% | 2,500,000,000 F
The SynFutures Foundation Treasury, constituting 25% of the total F supply, will use the funds to support the long-term stability and development of SynFutures.
The Foundation will leverage its treasury allocation to ensure long-term benefits for its users and communities, with the allocation channels including, but not limited to, the following:
- Deploying tokens for strategic partnerships and business development.
- Covering operational expenses and new initiatives.
- Ensuring long-term sustainable development across cycles.
To ensure fair use, only 0.5% of the total F supply, i.e. 50,000,000 F, will be unlocked for the Treasury at TGE. The remainder will unlock linearly over the next four years.
4. Core Contributors — 15.0% | 1,500,000,000 F
Since day 1, many core contributors have tirelessly focused on SynFutures’ security, engineering, product, infrastructure, growth, and operations.
The 15% allocation will go toward rewarding their past efforts and ensuring future alignment of incentives for long-term development.
This allocation is subject to a half-year lock-up, followed by a linear unlock over three and half years.
5. Protocol Development — 5.0% | 500,000,000 F
It’s still early days for DeFi and there’s much more to build, add, and improve.
5% of the total supply allocated toward Protocol Development will ensure adequate resources to fund ongoing R&D, engineering, and implementation of new features and upgrades.
Some of the potential allocation channels are as follows:
- Competitive salaries to attract and retain top technical talent.
- Funding for protocol audits, security improvements, and infrastructure scaling.
- Research into novel blockchain technologies, AMMs, and consensus mechanisms.
- Integrations with complementary projects and platforms.
50,000,000 F, or 0.5% of the total supply, will be unlocked at TGE. The remainder will be unlocked over the next four years.
6. Liquidity — 3.0% | 300,000,000 F
Liquidity allocation will ensure sufficient liquidity for the F token on exchanges, facilitating price discovery and seamless trading.
Here’s how SynFutures aims to utilize the funds:
- Providing initial liquidity for token trading pairs on exchanges.
- Maintaining healthy token liquidity through various incentive programs.
- Supporting token listings on new exchanges as the protocol expands globally.
The entire liquidity allocation will be unlocked at TGE.

Governance Roadmap
Phase 0 — Initiate token launch and voter base
The F token launch will take place on the day of TGE, establishing the inaugural voter base.
Phase 1 — Full governance deployment
During this phase, the SynFutures community will be able to start accessing the SynFutures Forum. The Foundation will then integrate the governance framework by deploying a governance system and granting the community voting power in Synfutures development and treasury deployment.
SynFutures will share a detailed governance mechanism post-TGE.
Phase 2 — Long-term goals
An open and collaborative governance model can unlock new opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement within the SynFutures ecosystem.
SynFutures’ governance will thus become an open forum supporting the most important topics for its development and governance. An open governance process will help SynFutures will valuable input and feedback from the broader community. This will ensure users’ needs and priorities drive the platform’s development and governance decisions.
