Synnax Datathon 2 Launched!

We are excited to announce the second Synnax Datathon, hosted on Telegram! This competition offers a prime opportunity for participants to demonstrate their predictive modelling skills using not only a comprehensive dataset of company financial statements but also an extensive collection of macroeconomic data. Whether you are a seasoned data scientist or a developing analyst, this competition promises to be both challenging and rewarding.

Competition Details

Data

Participants will be provided with detailed financial data from 16,476 publicly traded companies, covering the last five quarterly and four annual reports. The challenge involves predicting 17 target financial metrics for the most recent quarter.

Training dataset includes 13,180 companies’ statistics with 17 corresponding labels, and the testing dataset counts 3,296 companies which require prediction of these labels. It is a regression problem with multiple independent targets.

Macroeconomics data is provided in separate files to complement the training and testing datasets accordingly. It includes a wide range of financial indicators (1554 features in total). Participants are incentivized to identify relevant macro features and enrich the training/testing datasets to improve models performance.

Evaluation

Submissions will be evaluated based on the R2 (coefficient of determination) score, measuring the accuracy of your predictions against actual financial data.
