Synnax Datathon 3 Launched!

Synnax is proud to present the latest evolution of our financial indicators modeling task with the introduction of Datathon 3, hosted on Telegram! Datathon 3 is a regression problem with multiple targets — a traditional ML problem. All the datasets are conveniently structured — Kaggle style. Whether you are a seasoned data scientist or a developing analyst, this competition promises to be both challenging and rewarding.

Competition Details

In this competition, Synnax challenges participants to predict the financial metrics for the most recent quarter reported for each company. The dataset categorizes each quarter with 141 financial components, such as TOTAL ASSETS, TOTAL LIABILITIES, EBITDA, along with companies metadata and a rich set of macroeconomical indicators. Features names are encrypted for security. Each quarter is prefixed (Q_0, Q_1, …, Q_4), where _0 denotes the latest quarter in the dataset. The target variables, which were extracted from the Q_0 statistics, are found in the targets_train.csv file.

The task type is identical to the previous competition (Datathon 2), which included the supplementary macroeconomic data as additional potential training features, but this time we have introduced a few meaningful changes. Please refer to the full description here to learn more!

Prizes

For Datathon 3 we have also introduced a new prize structure. Participating in Synnax Datathon 3 promises to be as rewarding as it will be engaging.

Prizes will be awarded for:

1. Participation (everyone)
2. USD 3,500 cash prize for the first place, share of USD 4,950 for placing 2nd–10th
3. Performance prizes in Synnax Points (top 50)
4. Engagement prizes in Synnax Points (everyone)

Participants will be evaluated and rewarded with cash prizes and Synnax Points, which not only track your achievements but also qualify you for any future token airdrops by Synnax. The more points you accumulate now, the greater the potential rewards in future airdrops.
