Radical is relative

As part of our ongoing explorations into The Next Wave exploring the (possible) paradigm shift that is emerging in people’s mindsets, behaviours, and societal structures, we hosted a brief conversation to explore this more and experiment with routes into giant Next Wave topic.

We sat in a cafe in Central London an hour or so before the latest Living Change event with Mateja, Corina, Argyro and a quick visit from Khadra and Garrett too. We were lucky enough to have a international perspective to bring into the fold and experience of living in the UK, Slovenia, Greece and Australia too.

Our conversation focused around two questions:

-What is the most radical thing you are doing right now?
-What is the most radical thing you see others doing right now?

And here’s a map of what we covered:

Following the conversation, and taking some time to look across the range of ‘radical’ activity we can seem some themes and patterns emerging about types of radical activity there are:

But the space also got us to question what ‘radical’ really means and question if it is actually helpful or not.

Regardless of where we go with this — I’m certainly grateful for the conversation and intrigued to know what ‘radical’ means for others too.

If you’d like to host a similar sort of conversation or have ideas for other routes into what radical means or appetite for exploring The Next Wave more, we’d love to hear from you.
