Academic Acceleration Apportionment

At the end of the fiscal year, we send back to districts any unspent funds from the dual credit budget to help support development of new or existing dual credit programs.

Make sure to check your August apportionment for revenue code 415801- Academic Acceleration!

Test Fee Waiver Program

OSPI will continue to provide funding to cover the cost for FRPL students. This test fee waiver applies to AP, IB, and CI test fees. This funding does not cover late registration fees. IB recently announced they have eliminated test registration fees.

NEW! AP Test Registration Deadline

Last year, the College Board found that students who registered early for their AP exams actually performed better, especially those students belonging to historically under represented groups.

Based on this research, the College Board has moved the 2020 registration deadline to this fall. The preferred exam ordering deadline is October 4th; the final order deadline is November 15th.

Updated RSEVF

Based on a requirement from legislation passed this past spring (ESHB 1973), districts are now required to provide colleges FRPL status for their running start students.

Since funding was not provided to develop a new data sharing system between K12 and higher education, the RSEVF was determined be the most efficient way to relay this information.

Thanks to feedback received to an early draft, the form is now complete and posted on the new OSPI Dual Credit webpage.

Updated Dual Credit Website

Speaking of the website… the dual credit page within OSPI’s new website has been updated. All the information you need is now on one, simple to navigate page. Each dual credit type has its own collapsible section, so you don’t have to jump back-n-forth between pages.

There are also special announcement boxes on the right-hand side for quick updates on what’s new in dual credit, and a communication section for the latest updates.
