The Sensemaking meetup is Systems Change Finland’s monthly meetup where we explore topics related to applied Systems Thinking and Complexity with interesting speakers. Instead of being one-sided lectures, our meetups are spaces where participants can also make sense about the topics with each other. April’s meetup was organized in association with our global friends in the Systems Innovation community and hosted about 50 live participants on Zoom and YouTube.

April’s meetup on Thursday 8.4.2021 17:00–18:30 (EET UTC+3) was ignited by Tiina Laiho (Twitter, LinkedIn) who works as Head of services and communication at the CLIC Innovation company. She has over 20 years experience in digital media and internet business management positions locally and globally. Over her career she has focused on marketing, business development, management and currently focuses on innovation and ecosystem management.

CLIC Innovation is an open innovation cluster with the mission of creating breakthrough solutions in bioeconomy, circular economy and energy systems. CLIC Innovation coordinates R&D&I project portfolios to construct systemic solutions which are beyond the resources of individual operators. It is owned by leading international companies and Finnish research organizations committed to create sustainable solutions for the world.

In the meetup Tiina spoke about the work CLIC Innovation is doing in orchestrating business innovation ecosystems towards sustainable growth and the Ecosystem Playbook they have developed to support the work.

The backbone of their work is the ecosystem lifecycle framework which outlines three phases through which ecosystems can be grown and a range of tools that can be used in each phase.
