In our modern world, technology has expanded to such an extent to become an essential part of our lives. While staying on top of technology is vital for the success of any business, keeping up with its latest updates is not that easy. To make the most out of their tech resources, many companies now resort to consultants to run IT processes more smoothly and efficiently.

However, consultants have an extra burden on their shoulders when it comes to their job as developers. They are expected to have exceptional communication skills, show cross-functional coordination, and be ready to adapt to new teams, industries, and realities. This chameleonic nature of consultants has been widely misinterpreted, often bringing some stigma to the world of consultancy in general.

But how much truth is really there to it?

At Sytac, we know how this industry works. We’ve been at it for 10 years, and we were founded by a single guy bringing to the table 40 years of experience in IT. We know that employees are first and foremost people and that every professional has to be granted all resources to do their job to the best of their abilities. That’s why we created the figure of consultant manager, the direct link between you and Sytac. His technical background will allow him to take care of any concern, question, or problem you might encounter along your way, whether you’re versed in backend or frontend technologies.

When it comes to consultancy, you most probably heard some of its stereotypes already. Things like how consultants can’t pour their soul into a company because they’ll end up leaving after a few months anyway. Or that consulting is like being thrown into the lion’s den and abandoned forever, cut out from the rest of the company. Or even about how you’ll be shipped around every eight weeks like a crazy parcel, working on projects you don’t like, in industries you don’t respect.

But naturally, there are different ways to do things

For starters, our consultant manager is there to make sure you are happy: that’s his main task, because if you’re happy, you grow, and if you grow, we grow with you. Throughout your one or two-years project, he’ll meet you to handle your onboarding process, to discuss all things techy, or even just to have a chat and check up on you. He’ll guide and analyze your career growth, help you discuss your financials, and manage your contract extension. Things could be better, or they straight-up suck? Things are amazing, and you love everything around you? Either way, the consultant manager is there to help you, to make your life easier, and to always have your back.

Just like any astronaut out on a mission has a space station to return to, your consultant manager will be there for you as a solid reference point. Consulting doesn’t have to be what they told you. With just a little care, thinking, and creativity, we created a refreshing environment for all our employees. A place where people have your back, where you can feel stimulated, and to cooperate with other stellar professionals to exchange ideas, projects, and knowledge.
