Trans Journey Days 268: Is ‘love’ the generic non-gender form of sir/ma’am in customer service? The word to use when they don’t know what word to use?
I’m getting called ‘love’ more in supermarkets — particularly when I’m wearing a mask and beanie with my dysphoria hoodie (because don’t we love those? Lol).
I’m not a fan of it because the word is a little triggering to be honest, though not as triggering as she, her, miss, ma’am, etc.
