On June 22, 2019, Tie Hubli, had organized ‘Entrepreneurship Summit for young minds’ of Hubli, Dharwad, Belgaum and other local regions of Karnataka. The summit was wonderful with over 400 attendees — including students, startup owners, job seekers, freelancers, developers, and marketers.
The event was held from 3.pm to 7.pm. It began with the introduction of Tie and the YES initiative by Tie Hubli which has initiated from this year. It was then followed by the winner announcement of earlier events, held for students with entrepreneurship at its core.

It features a fireside panel discussion with five emerging startup representatives from Hubli, moderated by Vivek Shah, CEO of Seven Beans. He Took the panel with few interesting questions — including challenges they faced to initiate their business ideas, how they’ve raised crores in VC funding, work plethora of a startup founded by multiple co-founders and more.

Startups that panel represented were;

  • Altaf Ganihar, Founder and CEO of Snaptrude
  • Girish Shrigannavar — Co-founder and TO at LabInApp
  • Niranjan Karagi — NirNal Water Filter
  • Rohan Kumar Kulkarni — FreshBoxx
  • Vineet Pavate — Co-founder at Simply5

The audience was still waiting for hosts to come on the stage to announce next panel, the last row shouted loud — because, it was Shamish Dalal, entered Mathura Hall with full-packed energy, zeal, and enthusiasm. The man in white and black gathered the attention of the audience as soon as he entered the hall. In fact, the best part was — he wasn’t on a stage for a single minute as a speaker, rather he was roaming around the hall, interacting with the audience by catching their expression.

His Gujarati mixed English was one of the best parts of the session which audience enjoyed — but to keep in mind, he wasn’t a comedian though. Mr.Shamish with his hour-long session taught many things — which was well received by aspirants presented at the venue. He gave his real-life examples and explained the essence of Entrepreneurship.

Key Takeaways from Shamish Dalaal’s session is;

* Business needs Hunger = hunger to make money, hunger to grow, hunger to challenge yourself
* To be a successful entrepreneur, learn to identify the opportunity in the market
* Never ever be afraid of anything while doing business

* Fear of Failure — Jumping from the plane was the risk and the parachute that I had was my mentor
* Keep a person with you who will ask you uncomfortable questions (mentors) — these questions will make your goal very clear
* The failure inspires your inner capabilities
