Cocktails is a Tablecrafter series on updated versions of classic alcoholic drinks.

Created in the 1970s, the lemon drop remains as an accessible concoction for novice cocktail connoisseurs. The cocktail recently experienced a resurgence in popularity numerous appearances in popular television shows. Its fame in taphouse circles can be owed to the drink’s simplicity and how it features the lemon at its best: a balanced contrast of tart and sweet. Adding basil and lemongrass lends depth and herbal notes to the cocktail, which rounds out the fruitiness of the lemon. In case we haven’t won you over, we suggest that you drop everything and try our variation on the classic cocktail.
