Here at Tablecrafter, we’re suckers for great packaging design. Imagine our pleasant surprise when we came across Stranger & Stranger, a bespoke design consultancy specializing in branding and designing alcohol.

With a striking portfolio of vintage designs, you’d think the brand goes way back. Not in this case: Stranger & Stranger’s unique design aesthetic began in 1994, “creating successful products and brands that people just need to own. It’s a very dark art.”

A very dark art indeed. Besides big-name distilleries, Stranger & Stranger has dipped its toes in both startups and upstarts, “defining niches […] in one of the toughest markets around, from the low-cost supermarket’s own label wine to the highest end premium spirits.”

The Book of Stranger features their best work over 20 years of branding and design consultancy.
L-R: Telling the story of a true gentleman through Gentleman’s Collection’s wine packaging; For McGuigan’s 20th anniversary cuvée, an embossed label in stark white.
L-R: VML’s vino housed in a vintage-inspired design; Stranger & Stranger shows minute attention to detail; Gewürztraminer, a very floral wine;

With an impressive list of accolades as long as a day without a swill of wine, Stranger & Stranger sets the gold standard for elegant alcoholic drink labels everywhere and makes an instant fan of us.
