Expressionless and fierce, my wielder emerged.

Searching for a weapon, he and I merged.

We had a goal, one goal only,

To slay a dragon.

We began our journey, a journey of length.

Upon which we both displayed strength.

He had speed and determination,

I was sharp and ready for action.

Many creatures stood in our path,

All of which we slew in our wrath.

For a dragon we must kill,

With nothing but will and skill.

The journey ended,

A dragon in its wake.

Focused on its murder,

Our lives at stake.

A battle like none other,

The dragon’s flames grew hotter.

I began to melt,

Defeat at hand.

My wielder died,

And the dragon laid waste to land.
