Lucia Buricelli is a documentary photographer from Venice, Italy.
“Bold/Gold” explores the theatre of life in New York as an investigation into how people present themselves in public spaces and how they are perceived. It is a research of exhibitionism in daily life and an exploration of the excess and the oddities of the American society.
Combining a documentary and a street photography approach, the project weaves through the streets, Bar Mitzvahs, birthday parties, burlesque performances, parades and the other spectacles that shape the visual experience in American life.
