This is my favorite live song recording of all time. It’s Sam Cooke live At The Harlem Square Club in 1963 doing a medley of “You Send Me” into “Bring It On Home To Me.”
Well, that was pretty disingenuous. Hook us in with, “Aren’t you sick of hearing about blah, blah, blah…?”
And then, once we’re in the door, assail us with one of the most comprehensive 60’s blah, blah, blahs I’ve ever seen. Was bait-and-switch a 60’s innovation as well?
