昨天認真的把戀夏500日看完，以往看電影都會分心或是當 PODCAST 在聽，但在分手後的第近100個日子裡想要找尋某個慰藉，大家都說看電影是個不錯的選擇。 戀夏500日這部電影．敘述著一位名叫湯姆的男孩對一名叫夏天的女孩一見鐘情，在禮卡公司工作的湯姆見到夏天的第一眼就被她的藍眼睛還有迷人的微笑吸引，只不過湯姆是位害羞又趨於被動的大男孩，總是等待夏天有近一步的暗示才敢行動。 說到「主動」，我還記得我對於E先生算是主動的吧，雖然我前期對他愛理不理但其實是在測試自己沒有腦補，深怕是自作多情感覺他對我有好感，在確定他真的對我有好感時就開始放出暗示訊息，幸好，暗示夠明顯他也確實有接收到然後付出行動。

“This is a story of Boy Meets Girl, but you should know up front, this is not a Love Story.” 這不是一部愛情電影，真的不是。戀夏500日的核心命題不是人怎麼在失戀中找回自我，也不是Summer究竟是不是負心壞女人，也不是命中注定的真愛存不存在，我想這都同樣是愛情類型片的陳腔濫調，沒什麼好說，關注那些反倒閹割了這部電影所要呈現的特殊圖景。我認為電影的核心命題，是凸顯後現代的愛情觀點和敘事方式，如何尖銳地去玩弄與挑戰所謂「現代」的浪漫愛，以及飽受摧殘的男主角Tom，作為本片的現代性（modernist）英雄，如何經驗與超克身處的後現代世界。 首先探討男主角Tom在電影文本的一些設定與元素，來說明為什麼角色核心的象徵意涵是一位在摸索後現代情境的現代主義者。如本片的觀眾所熟知的，主修建築的Tom，畢業後一直沒有成為建築師，而是成為賀卡公司的文案寫手，構築各種可以被輕易消費或棄置的文字。這裏電影巧妙地避開以只有建築史學者才能輕易分辨的現代／後現代建築風格差異，而是以後現代觀點的文字／話語作為建築（discourse as architecture）作為隱喻，也就是說在賀卡公司裡Tom其實也是一位建築師（architect），一位後現代的話語建築師。然而矛盾的是，從事後現代的建築工作的Tom，所指認出最愛的建築典範：Continental Building（1903，洛杉磯的第一座摩天大樓）、Fine Arts Building（1926）、Eastern Columbia Building（1930）、San Fernando Building（1911），全都是落成於二十世紀初的古典與現代主義建築，都屬於某種恆久的現代建築計畫。
