Don’t Talk to Strangers!!
Growing up, we were told not to talk to strangers as children because that in itself opened up the gateway to familiarity and the opportunity for the stranger to harm us as children. We grew up with this notion that every stranger or new person was bad until proven otherwise.
I was well into my 40’s before I GOT this. I stopped reading and going to countless courses on how to be “better.”
I finally understood that being impatient, pig-headed, stubborn, and demanding was just fine! I also started to GET that I am damned good at what I do … and actually know a LOT.
