“张审视，竟非方氏，乃舜华也。以手探儿，一竹夫人耳。”（《聊斋志异》〈卷九〉「张鸿渐」）

“竹夫人” 是夏天置于床上的取凉用具，竹制，圆筒形，中空，周围有洞，可以通风，可拥抱，可搁脚。在现在的中国已不常见，在现代的韩国、日本及东南亚依然是常见的居家用具。
