Working to expand my concept from a previous project, I focus on telling a more documentary style narrative around generational conversations, feminism(s), and art education. The focus of my graduate studies has revolved around researching feminism(s) and women’s positionality in art education, later relaying the implications for continued solidarity and advocacy in the field. My findings stressed the importance of Co-Mentorship and the beauty of Feminist(s) Friendships; I unpack these two ideas with my own triangle of co-mentors and feminist(s) friendship. I was inspired by the photographers Carrie Mae Weems and LaToya Ruby Frazier to photograph my own “notion of family” around the “kitchen table,” to create a photo album of my personal histories.
