We acknowledge that overlooking the faults of others is challenging — for us. We remind ourselves, with compassion, that this is the exact place, the moment, the spot where there’s no right way, no procedure, no way to guess how to handle this one, the addiction, this barrier, that will make it comfortable and correct. So, we present ourselves with permission not to know how to do it. We do our best without demanding that it feel good, look good, or pass the class.
