This is Andrew. Andrew Gillum is the Mayor of Tallahassee, the current Democratic nominee for Governor of Florida, and a strong advocate for second chances. As Mayor of Tallahassee, Andrew led the City Commission to a successful 3–2 vote to “Ban the Box,” removing questions on city job applications asking about potential employees’ criminal history. If successful, Andrew would become America’s third black Governor. Andrew, recognizes the problems that racial homogeneity can contribute to throughout our sociopolitical systems. His first priority if elected Governor is to appoint Supreme Court justices that represent the diversity of the state.
