He used to walk past panhandlers. Begins with an abandoned suicide, out of concern for his dog Willow. I liked the rich characters. The narration was done well, but it was not narrated by the author (another reviewer stated that the author narrated but this is incorrect).

A very interesting look behind the scenes of life in a hospital emergency department, what this work does to the psyche of the doctors and reflections on living and dying. Recommended.
