Apple, a global technology giant, has revolutionized daily life for many people with its innovative products and services. Yet, as we stand in awe of the company’s achievements, it is crucial to acknowledge the potential barriers and challenges their relentless pursuit of innovation presents, particularly for marginalized groups striving to enter the tech workforce. The policies in place have affected folks in these groups across the board. Including members of the international workforce, people of color, members of the LGBTQ+ community, folks struggling with mental health issues, and more. Today, I’d like explore the implications of Apple’s policies and practices, while highlighting the importance of promoting equity and inclusion in the tech industry.
