Advanced stats don’t tell the whole story but neither does “the Cavs flipped the switch”. Eye test says the defense still rarely gets to that next level and gives up way too many open looks. They HAVE to fix that against the Ws.

LeBron is the playoff MVP. When he plays extra minutes and puts up 40–12–12 as point-center, I don’t think there’s much question. But this sweep is exactly why he isn’t the MVP. When the team can play like that whenever they want, it’s inexcusable to win only 51. If the excuse is waiting for playoffs, fine, but you’re choosing to sacrifice awards for the ring chase.
I thought all year the Raptors and Jazz were the two best matchups to the Cavs and Ws. I still do — defensively. They’re the teams best built to match up and slow the attacks down. But at the end of the day, can either team score anywhere near enough to keep up? I just don’t think so.
