So many opportunities were missed over the years when we allowed the DS diagnosis to skew our expectations, and we failed to look for potential — Not all of us are born able. Few are born with the perfect bodies. Our intellects and talents vary. Some have amazing, analytical minds. Others are creative beyond words. Yet even if we don’t enjoy huge potential, we don’t tend to be saddled with the disability sticker.
