That photograph is evocative and marvellously apt for the subject matter. It should be regarded as tragic that people perceive it as courageous to embrace who we are — or at the very least something requiring a lot of effort. The succinct nature of the piece is stunning, and is close to what my mother would consider ‘enough said’.
