This is what I like about Bernie Sanders on this platform. I can think of a dozen ways how this is important to families. That is a fact. The gender is not more important but the welfare and health of the family unit is.
Do you know of or remember the TV show Mash? When the father of Alan Alda’s character, Hawkeye Pierce dies, his fellow physician/soldier, Major Charles Emerson Winchester III played by David Ogden Pierce, remarks, “I had a father; you had a Dad.”
