Being a Utility Infielder
I have a difficult time answering the question, “What do you do?”.
When Daniel Day-Lewis played the lead role in the film Lincoln, he insisted on becoming Abraham Lincoln. He insisted that the crew refer to him as Mr. President. He signed off all of his text messages with ‘-Abe’. He even spoke like Lincoln. All the time. He’s a method actor.
On a clear night you’re looking through a telescope. There are hundreds (maybe thousands?) of stars all competing for your attention. It’s breathtaking. You shift your focus within the frame to take it all in. No single star warrants extended attention at the expense of the entire frame.
