So presumably the solution would be to split the north and south into two countries? What is unclear to me is why the US feels it needs to align with Al Qaeda? The rebels are no less murderous. Last we heard, to keep civilians from fleeing as the Syrian Army approaches, they are boarding up homes…with people still inside. Some people are benefiting…
Sounds for me like Russia successfully lured the US into a media trap, to blame it afterwards to violate the truce and supporting the IS.
The Russian officers were present and obviously did not object to the target, but said just minutes after the attack, the US was bombing the wrong target. Would fit to Russia.
My point exactly is that if you compare if the Islamics got a bunch of nukes what would happen vs what Russia has done.
Russia is a rational player. They don’t kill Americans. They don’t throw nukes around even though they have them.
