[solved] TCP 5000 Used by Control Center in macOS Monterey v12.6
I recently updated my macOS to Monterey version 12.6 and found out that ports 7000 and 5000 were being used by Control Center. Usually, I use port 5000 for my local development on my server. Since I updated, the server would not start and start throwing an error “Port 5000 already in use”. On a “ lsof -i -P | grep -i “listen” ”, I saw both the ports 7000 and 5000 were being used by the Control Center. I tried killing the port by killing the pID but OS would just restart them with a new pID and use the same port again.
