Apocalyptic scenes of barbarism and savagery; mass graves uncovered in Bucha, city to the west of Kyiv which Russian army retreated from. On 2 April 2022, the world woke up to news reports and video emerged showing streets in Bucha covered with the bodies of men dressed in civilian clothes. Some of those found, at least 280 dead bodies had their hands tied. Buildings including houses, churches, schools and hospitals ruined. Killings of thousands of civilians is ‘tip of the iceberg’ say Ukrainians who believe atrocities were ‘much worse’ in Borodyanka 14 miles to the west of the capital Kyiv, and could be widespread nationwide.
