As a child he said, “If I don’t mean it, I don’t sing it.” For most of his songs, that is very true, but it even became truer in his late career just after 1996 where he truly had some inspirational songs although his audience dwindled a bit after his accusations of child molesting in 1993. Plus a few radio stations refused to play his later songs, even though he was found not guilty. I was born in 1974, so I grew up in the 1980’s listening to popular music such as Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince, Bon Jovi, Cindy Lauper, etc.… It was definitively the decade of music with extraordinary instrumental talent from guitars to drums and everything in between. …
