Paul, this is a real misunderstanding of the nature of democracy. People as you point out are conflicted because “Hitler” was considered a populist. The confusion is between two ideas of Nationalism or populism.
Yeah, national sovereignty is under-recognized. Very selective approach. Sometimes, appealing to national sovereignty is even dishonestly mischaracterized as ‘nationalism,’ ‘isolationism,’ ‘Little Englanders,’ e.g. Brexit.
Agree, Germany is indeed the model the neoliberal globalists envision for the future of Western nations.
At the top of the pyramid you have the transnational bankers and the government’s administrative class, the two groups intertwined in an increasingly incestuous manner, wagging their fingers at the citizen population over…
I agree with most of the points, and I’m happy to see something about this election that’s not “racial in nature”. This whole election is coming down to globalism vs nationalism.
If it wasn’t for the DNC rigging the election in Hillary’s favor (see wikileaks), Bernie would have usurped the election from her.
But why in real life your Western world is more like a cancerous tumor, which constantly requires more and more resources and destroys neighboring healthy cells and kills the entire body?
I would argue that this cancer-like spread is inherent in the globalist neoliberalism people like McCain espouse.
