You know how sometimes you do something that you know will make other people just shake their heads in wonderment or just go “tsk tsk tsk”. Well, the last few days have been quite full of such moments.
I have to say that if I never eat another bad airline meal again, it’ll be too soon!
Just wanted to mention that we’re leaving for a multi-day hike today and then will be moving forward, so I may not have internet access for another 5 or so days.
Here are some feeble attemps at filmmaking. Please keep in mind that I don’t really know how it sounds or even looks, as it’s tough to check on these computers, but just in casem, enjoy:
It’s ironic that the last day was probably the hardest. We only had a short distance to bike today (around 70km), but we had to ascend to the highest mountain road in NZ in the meantime.
I’m sitting right now inside our tent at a campsite next to a fast-flowing river. The wind is blowing around us like mad and it almost seems like it has the power to blow our entire tent away… But if you are reading it, then it didn’t :)
The only thing worse than going to sleep wet and cold is waking up in the morning wet and cold. Especially when you know that you have a tough day ahead of you…

Its so strange to write about tbe last few days because things have actually gone smoothly for once! It’s just plain unusual not to be stranded somewhere or break something or run out of something.
